Hi! We are Glenn and Kris Kooima, owners of Whispering Pines Puppies. We met in college and were married in 1991. Our first years were spent living in a small Iowa town where Glenn owned and managed a feed business. Kris worked as a CNA in a nursing home until we started a family.  Since then she has been busy caring for the family full time. God blessed us with 5 children, 3 of whom are married. As of this writing we have 7 grandchildren, plus 1 in Glory, and 2 “on the way”.

We both grew up on farms, so we were eager to move our young family to the country and did so in 1997, where we now live on 10 acres. We started raising a few puppies as a hobby and for the fun experience it would give our children. We soon found strong demand for our Mini Goldendoodles and the hobby turned into a family project and business.

We enjoy raising Mini Doodles and placing them in good homes, and have been doing so for over 20 years. Our facilities and business are governed and regulated by the USDA and the State of Iowa.
